We sent emails to 258 addresses for riders that rode in the 2026 event asking them to choose from a short list of three national charities and three local charities that the BCCR committee had selected from an internal ballot.
The results of the rider’s choices for the national charities are as follows:
- Marie Curie – 11.5% of the votes
- Prostate Cancer Research – 50% of the votes
- Samaritans – 38.5% of the votes
and for the local charities:
- Home-Start Bracknell Forest – 34.5% of the votes
- Royal Berks Charity – 19% of the votes
- Youthline – 46.5% of the votes
