Not long to the Three Counties Cycle Ride which takes place on Sunday 4th June departing from Garth Hill College (please note it is not possible to approach by car via Sandy Lane – please approach via Bull Lane).
If you want to enrol on the day: 18 and Over riders are £25 Under 18 riders are £1.
If you are a Group Leader or Family Group Leader please ensure that ALL your riders see this information. As a Group Leader you are expected to collect ALL of the t-shirts for riders that signed up with you.
Help us to raise as much money as possible for our nominated charities for this year: The Wayz, Wade Day Care Centre and Easthampstead Rotary Club Trust Fund.
Please encourage as many of your family, friends, acquaintances and work colleagues to join you on the ride or to sponsor you.
Now is a good time to check over your bike and make sure there are no frayed cables, nothing is loose and tyres are in good condition. The most common breakdown is a puncture, so please check you have at least enough tools to carry out a repair. We recommend you have a spare inner tube and don’t forget the pump!
If you do not have some sort of eye protection we recommend you buy some safety specs.
For the event only we have an emergency number: 07835 260107. This number is intended for minor instances (lost, breakdown, etc.). For accident emergency services call the normal 999.
When you enrol you will be given a coloured ID tag. Please attach this to the FRONT of your bike so Route Marshals and our photographers can recognise that you are a 3CCR participant.
Please note the following times for the Drinks Stations:
- There will be a drinks station at the start/finish in Garth Hill Collage which will be open for the duration of the event.
- Dunstan Green opens at 09:00 closes at 12.00 (33 and 54 mile routes).
- Christmas Barn opens at 10:00 closes at 14.00 (54 mile route only).
- Remenham opens 10:00 closes at 15:00 (33 and 54 mile routes).
- There are NO Drinks Stations on the 15 mile route.
The ride is fully signed and well marshalled by volunteers until mid afternoon but please note that the Marshal points will be covered by signage only from 15.00.
As soon as possible after the event, if you have any constructive criticisms please pass these to us via the Contact Us page on our website. It is extremely useful to us to know what we did well and what can be improved.
Good luck to everyone – see you on the 4th.
